Shri H R P Yadav graduated in Chemical Engineering in 1988 from B.I.T. Sindri, Dhanbad. He joined Indian Institute of Technology, Delhi in December 1988 as Senior Research Associate (SRA) in a research project sponsored by the then Department of Non-Conventional Energy Sources (DNES), Government of India (now known as MNRE). He did research and development (R&D) work there for three and a half years on Energy Efficiency using various types of burning fuels and determination of indoor air quality under environmental studies. He developed a few efficient and smoke-free cooking devices using biomas fuels, firewood, sawdust etc which were approved and propagated in rural areas by the Nodal ministry of Govt. of India. He joined the Institution of Engineers (India) in July 1992. He has wide experience of editing the technical papers for publication in the Engineering Journals of various disciplines. Shri Yadav has presented a number of technical papers in the Seminars and has published several research papers in the Indian Journals. He did his Master of Technology in “Energy and Environmental Management” from Indian Institute of Technology Delhi. He has coordinated organization of National and International Seminars, World Congresses etc. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Engineers (India). He has represented the Institution of Engineers (India) in a number of high level discussions/ meetings of the Government of India regarding draft preparation of Engineers Bill, Bills related to technical education, Climate change and Global Warming, WTO/GATS etc. He has over 20 years experience which includes administrative, technical, coordinating, planning, management etc. Shri Yadav has been actively involved in the activities of improving visibility of IEI. He has contributed as an expert member in the Study Group of World Energy Council – Indian Member Committee (WEC-IMC) in preparation of the documents (i) “Energy Dimensions for Disaster Management” and (ii) “Sustainable Development of Energy Sector in Delhi beyond 2010”.
