IEI – Research and Development Grant for 2010 – 2011
The Institution of Engineers (India), invites applications in the enclosed format for grant-in-aid in support of industry-oriented R & D projects. Please note that applications violating the format /sequence of format will be rejected.

After filling up the application online please take a printout of the filled up form and send five copies of the same to The Secretary and Director General, Attn : Director (Technical), The Institution of Engineers (India), 8 Gokhale Road, Kolkata – 700 020.
Applications without the online submission will not be accepted.
The application should be forwarded through the Guide, Head of the Department and Head of the Institution. Please note that preference will be given to projects received from Institutions who are members of The Institution of Engineers(India) (IEI) and also for projects dealing with industry-oriented / applied research with matching grant from industry and for supporting students (B Tech / M Tech / Research Scholars) working under the guidance of faculty members. Additional weightage will be given to the Members of students’ Chapter of the IEI. The grant is not intended for the faculty members who have access to other avenues for research funding. Project proposals should be within an upper limit of Rs. 3 lakhs. Proposals received within the specified time frame will be scrutinized and the recipients of R&D Grant will be informed accordingly.
Last Date of Submission of Project proposal is February 28, 2010.
